MONTY
From Tattered and Torn to "the Full Monty"

If you are a frequent visitor of the "Available Dogs" section on our website, you may have seen a sad, sickly sheltie named Tatters (pictured below).  This poor baby had many health issues to contend with, but is now doing great with his mom Toni.  She sent us this endearing photo of him in his "hospital pants" following knee surgery.  Now named Monty, he is one happy little guy.

In the photo below, "Tatters" had just come into Colorado and into our rescue. He had two abcesses on his face and a torn ACL in his right back knee.  His little feet were raw from wandering lost.  He could hardly walk or eat.  It took two major surgeries and lots of rehabilitation to help this little sheltie, plus lots of love to truly give Monty a real life.
