Big Ball of Goof!
Mandy is a big, goofy sweetheart who has stolen our hearts. We actually met her unintentionally when we went to meet another potential sister for Pongo. Pongo was one of those PCSR "interlopers" - probably aussie, border collie mix, who adopted me four years ago.
We recently moved back to Denver and decided it was the right time to add to our family. The dog we went to meet though wasn't quite the right match - a little too confident for Pongo's liking; and she, in turn, didn't like having a little wimp trying to put her in her place! In came Hope to the rescue (no pun intended) with a suggestion about another collie who she thought might be a good match. That would be my sweet Mandy. She is just a big, happy goofball. Or as I tell her all the time, she's a big ball of goof! She loves to meet and greet everyone and thinks that we were all put on this earth to be her playmate…with the exception of joggers and bicyclists whom she thinks she is supposed to herd!
My picky and reserved Pongo loves her too, although if you could ask him he wouldn't admit it. But try separating them for something like training and he goes looking for her and is thrilled when he does see her again. Mandy's collie kisses (gotta love those nibbles) tell me she loves him too. She is a social butterfly to complement his reserved nature, and they make quite a pair!
